CHURCH and COMMUNITY CRISIS RESPONSE TRAINING

It seems that more and more, communities are undergoing crisis of various types and severities, ranging from weather-related disasters to man-made crisis to severe economic downturns, and so on. These events often bring hardship, trauma, change and struggle.

Most rural communities (or regions) have an emergency measures organization and plan. But churches are typically not engaged in the development of these plans. Yet…we know that town and country churches can contribute to emergency response, in a big way . . .by employing their own particular gifts to help communities prepare for and recover resiliently from such crises and disaster.

To learn more about rural crisis intervention for rural congregations and their communities check out CiRCLe M’s training webinars.

The training webinars are not intended to provide certified disaster relief training, but rather to stimulate thinking about ways in which churches (and other local organizations) can contribute to emergency planning in their town or region.

We encourage you to view the various presentations with members of your church and the wider community.

If you would like help thinking through who should be involved in your community crisis response training contact CiRCLe M.
